The North Georgia State Fair is open at Jim R. Miller Park, and it runs through Sunday, October 4. If you are headed over today (Opening Day), the deal sheet is free gate admission plus $25 unlimited rides. Clear bag rules apply, and under 17 after 6 p.m. needs a parent. Tomorrow is Senior/Heroes Day (Friday, September 25): 55+ free at the gate 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., then free again at 4 p.m. (check the fair site for the Heroes window details). Pay-One-Price rides still run the rest of the days if you are planning a weekend loop instead of tonight.

Sep 15 Board of Commissioners Zoning minutes (posted Sep 23) record that Haven at Eastside, petition Z-22, was continued to BOC Zoning Tue Oct 20, 9:00 a.m. It was not heard on Sep 15 (staff continue). Print that continue only. Do not treat this as a deny or an approve. Planning Commission recommended deny remains a separate earlier step, not a Board decision.
CobbLinc microtransit: still waiting on minutes
The microtransit package was withdrawn on the Sep 8 Board meeting (minutes). It showed up again as proposed on the Sep 22 agenda. Sep 22 minutes are not published yet. Safe read: still in play; no approved or denied language until those minutes land.
